Privacy Policy
Effective October 20, 2026
The short version: ReminderDeck has no account and no ReminderDeck server for your reminders. Your reminders live on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. Voice, photos and AI features run on your device. We collect a small amount of anonymous usage and crash data to keep the app working, and never the content of your reminders.
Who we are
ReminderDeck is made by Toffee Finance (“we”, “us”). Questions about privacy: hello@reminderdeck.com.
Your reminders
- Reminders, lists, notes, photos you attach, places and settings are stored on your device.
- If iCloud is on, they sync through Apple’s CloudKit in your private iCloud database. We can’t see or access it.
- You can export everything as a file, or delete all data, from Settings in the app.
Features that run on your iPhone
- Voice: speech is turned into text on your device. Audio is never saved or sent to us.
- Snap to remind and the Share Extension: photos, screenshots and shared text are read on your device to suggest reminders, then discarded. They are not uploaded. Links you share are not opened or fetched.
- AI suggestions: use Apple’s on-device models. Nothing is sent to a cloud AI service.
- Location reminders: places you save and your location are used on your device to ring when you arrive or leave. Your location never leaves your device.
- Calendar: events are read on your device to show them next to your reminders. Calendar data never leaves your device.
Anonymous usage analytics
We use PostHog to count how the app is used, for example that a reminder was created, which loudness was picked, or that the paywall was shown. These events use a random identifier that isn’t linked to your name, email or Apple ID. They never include reminder titles, notes, list names, places, coordinates, calendar data, photos, recognized text, or anything about health or medication. You can turn analytics and crash reports off in the app’s Settings › Privacy.
Crash reports
If the app crashes or hits a serious error, we use Sentry to receive a diagnostic report: the device model, iOS version, app version and the technical details of the error. Crash reports exclude reminder content, screenshots and your IP address, and are used only to fix bugs. They follow the same Settings › Privacy switch.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether you have Pro, using an anonymous app user ID. We never receive your payment details.
Website and waitlist
If you join the waitlist on reminderdeck.com, we store your email address (and the country your request came from) to email you about the launch and major updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time. The website counts page views with PostHog without cookies or local storage.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or share your personal information.
- We don’t show ads or use advertising trackers.
- We don’t require an account or collect your name.
Service providers
Apple (iCloud, App Store, on-device frameworks), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (crash reports), RevenueCat (purchase status), Vercel (website hosting) and Supabase (waitlist storage). Each only receives the data described above.
Retention and your rights
Analytics events and crash reports are kept for up to 12 months. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold. Email hello@reminderdeck.com, and we’ll reply within 30 days.
Children
ReminderDeck isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above, and tell you in the app for significant changes.
